PRODUCT PAGE ZIP TEST

Across Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix and BigCommerce, 51 of 52 selected best files reached the default ZIP. The original BigCommerce failure and unsuccessful retry are documented; a later fresh scan downloaded both images without using fallback.

Evidence and test details

Includes screenshots, CSV exports, hash manifests and limitations.

How to read the research: the website image downloader benchmark describes the services and webpages tested at that time; the Shopify benchmark describes a saved Source Image Finder test set. Neither report is a universal guarantee for every site, image, or future version of a service.

How we publish research and guides

Source Image Finder performs and publishes these first-party tests. They are not independent third-party reviews. Practical guides are written around the same product boundaries and measured evidence rather than unsupported claims.

  • Named inputs and dates. Reports identify the webpages, test window, and relevant settings used.
  • Measured downloaded files. We inspect the files returned by each workflow instead of relying only on filenames or claims shown in a tool.
  • Retained evidence. Reports link to saved records, screenshots, or test files where practical so the results can be checked.
  • Limits are stated. Results apply to the pages, files, and service versions tested and can change over time.

For more about how product claims are checked, see About Source Image Finder.
